Fruit pulping involves crushing and separating of fruit and extracting fibers from the fruit to get a soft, wet shapeless mass. The increasing challenges of rapidly developing food markets, climate change and fluctuating costs require critical constant management of the food industry to ensure continuity and timely food ingredient supply as we work closely with our business partners at all levels of the food ingredient supply chain. We introduced our own pulping plant because it is our duty to pay close attention from the manufacturing to our distribution chain.
At Jambo, we pulp fruits that are locally harvested ranging from Mangoes, Pineapples, Oranges, Tamarind, Baobab and Tomatoes. With an installed capacity of over 100 tons per day and a turn-key state of the art machine from Elpo Italy, Jambo has quickly become a savior to local growers that now have a market to sell their fruits in bulk. All our fruit pulp and concentrates are then used in the manufacturing of our various products in our food and beverage portfolio.
Our beverage products have for a very long time been the bedrock of our company therefore this means production rate is increasing tremendously. Our beverage products are packaged in plastic bottles that are manufactured in-house known as “preforms”.
With aims of selling our products at a “Mwananchi” price, we have sourced state-of-the-art preform manufacturing machines (IPS) from Sacmi, Italy with the highest production efficiency levels possible in the market. With a vision of having a backward integration system on our production lines, we manufacture our own shrink film used for packaging, our own branded closures and preforms. The value created in our plastic industry is passed back to our consumers ensuring a world-class quality product at an affordable price. The industry has also created jobs for many Tanzanians and is proudly operated and run by Tanzanians.
